Car Parks in Siena

Multistorey car park

There are over 4,000 parking spaces spread across various facilities that cover all the strategic points of the city.

The San Francesco car park in Via Baldassarre Peruzzi, the Santa Caterina car park in Via Esterna di Fontebranda and the La Stazione car park in Piazzale Fratelli Rosselli are served by mechanical lifts to quickly reach the historic centre and provide a free taxi service for people with disabilities on demand.

The most centrally located car parks are: the Stadio Fortezza car park near the Medici Fortress, the Il Campo car park inside Porta Tufi and the Il Duomo car park near Porta San Marco.

Finally, not far from Porta Camollia, there is the Le Fonti di Pescaia car park, located in Via Martiri Caserma La Marmora.

All car parks have toilets and a video surveillance system linked to a control centre that operates 24 hours a day.

To find out in real time about the availability of spaces in the car parks, we recommend downloading the SiPark app: this tool will save you time and reduce the stress of looking for a parking space, especially at peak times.

Surface car parks

Surface car parks are a viable alternative to multi-storey car parks, although they do not offer vehicle security. They are located on the city's main streets, close to the Limited Traffic Zones (ZTLs) of the historic centre, and therefore in convenient and strategic places for reaching tourist attractions.

Parking is chargeable from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., including Sundays and public holidays, and the hourly rate (or per part of an hour) is €1.50, with discountsfor residents and depending on the method of payment.

Parking fees can be paid for either at the parking meter (in cash or using a Sostapay card) or via smartphone apps (e.g. SiPark Sosta, Easypark and Dropticket).
